What location is a must-see on a Kerala House Boat trip?

I am planning to go to Kerala the first time and might not return again, which place is a must-see if we want to do a house boat trip?

Alleppey is the best place for a house boat – now once at Alleppey take the Alleppey Changnacherry route and below the Chembakulam Bridge there is this co Lake Land Cruise (+91-477-278074, +91-9447104190, +91-9447275631) they are the cheapest and got a range of boats – try them. Infact woudl advice you to go to the opposite side of the bridge and meet the manager of KSTDC and seek his help for a Boat ride – he will direct you and being refered by him you would get good discounts.

Well places to see there is nothing major its the experience of the backwater, sceneries, etcs….yes you should try buying the fresh pwans and get them cooked by the boats cooks, also you could ask the captain of the boat to organise for fresh coconut toddy – they would do it for you.

Note- Carry enough mosquito couls and eletric replents, if possible carry liquor too from outside (would be cheaper) though you can get the boating company too to provide you.

Once your boat ride is over then probably you could get a cab and visit the 6-Block (farming on the river bed), Arthingul Church in Alleppey (oldest church of south India), Alleppey Beach and if you have more time you could go to Kottayam see a few rubber estates and also may be the 1st Indian Xtian Saints brithplace. There is a whole lot to see at Cochin and also Northern Kerala.
