what are the uses of ultra violet light?
i need to know what ultra violet light is used for that is not damaging to health

- Wood’s lamp (a type of blacklight – an application in microbiology that uses UV-based fluorescence to visualise certain bacteria and fungi)
- disinfection of various surfaces, including the interior of biosafety cabinets used to handle hazardous micro-organisms
- Fluorescent microscopy (and many other fluorescence-based applications)
- Erasing EPROMs (Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory)
- Treating certain skin conditions like psoriasis.
